Dr. Tony Campolo was kind enough to chat for an hour or so about his “For The Record” statement he released on June 8, 2015. The statement calls for the church to offer same-sex committed couples full inclusion. We talk about what that means, his response so far, and how pastors and lay people can advocate for such inclusion in their own church.

I would be interested in hearing a little more extrapolation from Tony Campolo on why he would say that people are “entitled to only one partner”,(monogamy)… Based on his own red-letter hermeneutics, Jesus also said nothing about polygamy being a sin. In fact, the bible says far less about polygamy than it does homosexuality and yet Tony’s position is to affirm homosexuality and explicitly condemn polygamy… Does this seem like a conflict in consistency? I’m open to feedback.
